Rev Glen Archer has coached 26 champions in the National Spelling Bee Competition.



From 1993 to 2009, Rev Archer coached 17 consecutive champions.



He was also the coach of Jody-Anne Maxwell (then of Ardenne High School), the 1998 Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee Champion and the only non-American to have won that title.

2015: Rev Archer was in hospital when his St Andrew Champion Sara-Beth McPherson won the Spelling Bee finals in Kingston.

However, Archer's former Spelling Champion Hanif Brown took over the reins and brought McPherson to glory.
