The Police High Command has closed its recruiting centres islandwide and suspended the recruiting of new members while it conducts what it is describing as a comprehensive review of its recruiting systems and methods.

"This is being done to make the process more prompt and efficient for applicants who wish to become a member of the organisation," said the Constabulary Communications Unit (CCU).

"The revamped process will see the introduction of a user-friendly interactive online application system, speedy processing and scheduled entrance examination sittings," added the CCU.

According to the CCU, the recruiting will resume on Monday, May 4, when all recruitment centres will reopen.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this closure as we work towards making the recruiting experience more expeditious and customer friendly," added the CCU.
