Local gov't matters top PNP REC agenda

The six regional executive councils (REC) of the governing People’s National Party (PNP) will today host what are being described as important meetings.

In a statement yesterday, Team PNP said high on agenda for the meetings are the presentation of councillor candidates, an outline of the party’s programme of political work and reports from the respective constituency organisations.

Local government elections are constitutionally due by March this year.

The PNP’s regional executive councils is comprised of all members of the party’s National Executive Council along with the representatives of all 63 constituencies across the island.
