A tragic accident in Toll Gate, Clarendon yesterday claimed the life of one man and left another hospitalised in serious condition.

The incident reportedly occurred when a man driving a truck towards May Pen in the parish slammed into a trailer which was transporting a tractor.

The tractor’s loader bucket ripped off the top of the truck and decapitated its driver in the collision.

A minivan which was traveling behind the truck was also involved in the accident.

The driver of that vehicle had to be cut from the minivan by personnel from the Fire Brigade.

He is now undergoing treatment at hospital.

In the meantime, the driver of the trailer has been taken in for questioning by the police.
