My son loves the news
Q My son insists on watching the news in the morning before he leaves home. Is this normal for a 10 year old?
A Your son may be a budding journalist. Ask him why he needs to do this and I am sure he will explain.
Children's home process too slow
QI tried to get my godson into a children's home last month and was told that the process will take time. His mother is a drug addict and I am a single mother with three children. He stays with me now, but honestly, it is a burden. Space is limited.
A I am sure his caseworker is doing the best he or she can. Meanwhile, you may be able to get some other help. Check with the PATH programme and the school guidance counsellor to see what help may be available.
Kids watch the same cartoons repeatedly
Q I notice that the TV channels replay the cartoons over and over again during the week, and my children, 5 and 8, watch the same shows repeatedly. Is this normal?
A Once a show is funny and colourful the average child will watch it over and over again. Your children seem quite normal. Encourage them to read.
