Parents demand removal of May Pen Primary principal
Upset parents of students at the May Pen Primary School say they will not give up their push to have the institution’s principal, Paul Scott, removed from office.
Yesterday, parents padlocked the gates to the school as they pressed their demand for the principal to be fired.
The parents are accusing Scott of poor management and being disrespectful.
One parent told our news team that the principal has been tardy in developing the school’s infrastructure.
Another disgruntled parent, Patrick Perry, said he and others are upset that the school has been operating without a chairman and a board for more than a year.
Perry says parents want to see better leadership at May Pen Primary.
The police and fire personnel were called in and the chains were eventually cut from the gate allowing classes to go ahead.
