Work stoppage at Moon Palace Jamaica Grande again
Construction workers at Moon Palace Jamaica Grande have withdrawn their services again.
The workers stopped work this morning, claiming that the management of the hotel plans to replace some of them with workers from Mexico.
General Manager Clifton Reader could not be reached for comment.
The strike is the second in a month after the workers withdrew their services in protest against a delay in payment of their wages.
The latest disruption could further push back the opening date for the five-star property, after the March 7 opening date was delayed after the first strike action.
