Not much progress being made in St Thomas teen's murder investigation - police
The St Thomas police say they are not making much progress in the murder investigation of 14-year-old Kayalicia Simpson.
However, investigators say they are close to charging a man with breaches of the Sexual Offences Act.
An autopsy on the body of the former Donald Quarrie High School student revealed that she was at least four months pregnant when she was killed.
Two suspects were taken into custody, however, one has since been released.
An investigator, who did not want to be identified, said the man in custody could be charged later this week.
The officer declined to be named as he was unauthorised to speak to the media.
Kayalicia was hacked to death last Tuesday morning while getting ready for school.
