The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) is urging members of the public to report any instance of reckless driving involving its buses.

The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre has received reports of drivers using the buses to bully other vehicles on the roads or engage in unsafe practices.

JUTC's manager of marketing and communication, Clinton Clarke, agrees that some drivers of the government buses breach the road code.

However, while he could not provide the statistics, he says the instances of indiscipline have been declining.

According to Clarke the indiscipline of some JUTC drivers has cost the company dearly.

And he argues that the company cannot afford to pay for anymore damage caused by reckless drivers.
