Maxie Robinson, who filed a police report about a plot to kill Jamaica Labour Party leader, Andrew Holness, and General Secretary Dr Horace Chang, has pleaded guilty to the charge of public mischief.

He made the admission when he appeared before RM Judith Pusey in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

Robinson was remanded until sentencing on March 31.

He was arrested last month after investigations revealed that a plot to kill Holness and Dr Chang was a hoax.

It is reported that Robinson went to the JLP’s head offices and informed personnel there that party members had contracted men to kill Holness and Chang.

Following investigations it was discovered that Robinson fabricated the story.

He was subsequently arrested and charged.
