Reporter denied access at Traffic Court

A police constable this morning denied a reporter access to the Traffic Court in Kingston.

"You can't just show up anyday and expect we fi let you in," the constable sought to explain after the reporter identified himself.

The reporter sought the assistance of a female court employee who indicated that she would speak with the presiding judge and the clerk of the court.

However, when she returned several minutes later, her story was the same as the constable's.

"The judge and the clerk said to tell you 'it's best if you come on a Tuesday or Thursday'," the court employee said.
