JUST IN: Man sentenced to 40 years in prison for Irwin Point rapes
Serial rapist, Patrick Green, has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for the rape of five females in Irwin Point, St James.
Justice Martin Gayle handed down the sentence a short while ago in the Western Regional Gun Court.
Green was arrested and charged last year September after his DNA matched samples police investigators found at the scene of the rape.
Two brothers were initially prosecuted for the crime but were later freed after DNA tests did not return a match.
On September 24, 2012, men armed with guns invaded a house with five females, including an eight-year-old girl.
The females were taken to an open lot where they were sexually assaulted.
The incident drew widespread condemnation.
Green was already serving time for rapes he committed in Clarendon.
