Enough water available to douse ‘very difficult’ Riverton fire - Mowatt

Commissioner of the Jamaica Fire Brigade, Errol Mowatt, has refused to give a timeline for when the Riverton City blaze will be put out saying it is a very difficult fire.

Commissioner Mowatt says the fire brigade has been pulling water from the Duhaney River and has enough supplies to put out the flames.

However, he says even with enough water the fire is difficult to put out.

Commenting on the safety of fire personnel, he said all have been issued with protective masks.

And Commissioner Mowatt says a donor has promised more face masks.
