Schools affected by Riverton smoke advised to remain closed

The smoke that blancketted the corporate area yesterday as a fire blazed at the Riverton City dump in downtown Kingston.

Six schools have been advised by the Ministry of Education to remain closed as smoke continues to rise from the Riverton City dump.

The schools that were forced to close yesterday were Duhaney Park Primary, George Headley Primary, Edith Dalton James High, Waterford Primary, Portsmouth Primary and Waterford High.
