Political analysts Kevin O’ Brien Chang and Dr Paul Ashley say Leader of the Opposition, Andrew Holness, should use his contribution to the budget debate today to present solutions.

Chang and Dr Ashley say the opposition leader must move away from criticising the government and tell Jamaicans about his concrete proposals on a number of critical issues.

Chang says Holness should indicate the things he would do differently if he were leading the country.

Dr Ashley says he wants Holness to outline the JLP’s plans to deal with critical issues such as crime, poverty, energy and productivity.

He argues that with general elections due in 2016, the Opposition leader should not wait until the appointed time to announce plans for the country.
