Restored water supply for Cooreville Gardens and Washington Gardens by nightfall - NWC

Cooreville Gardens and Washington Gardens The National Water Commission (NWC) says it expects normal water supply to be restored to Cooreville Gardens and Washington Gardens by tonight.

It says yesterday it discovered a major break on its water supply network near Six Miles in St Andrew that has been affecting the supply of water to Cooreville Gardens and Washington Gardens at least over the past two days.

The NWC says the leak was discovered by personnel who were trouble-shooting the system in response to persistent complaints from residents of the two areas even after water had been restored to other parts of the Corporate Area following a disruption caused by damage to the Tulloch Spring Pipeline.

The NWC says an emergency repairs crew was mobilised to work through last night to excavate the area and effect repairs in the shortest possible time.

And the commission says based on the number of variables involved, it expects to have normal supply restored to Cooreville Gardens and Washington Gardens by no later than tonight.
