Ganja valuing $2.5m seized in Manchester, two men arrested
The Manchester police have taken two men into custody following the seizure of ganja worth about $2.5 million.
The police say the men’s identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
They say the 500 pounds of ganja was seized yesterday evening on Melrose Hill during an operation.
It is reported that the driver of a Toyota Corolla motorcar was signaled to stop.
The driver complied and the vehicle was searched.
It is further reported that during the search knitted plastic bags were found containing the illicit drug.
The driver and a passenger were detained.
