33-year-old man killed in St Catherine

A 33-year-old man was killed in Spanish Town, St Catherine this morning, as gun violence continues to plague the parish.

He has been identified as Kemar Turner of a March Pen Road address.

Residents in the area told The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre that they heard several gunshots about three o'clock this morning.

They say the man's body was later found at his house in a pool of blood with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

The St Catherine North Police, which is leading the investigations, have not established a motive for the killing.

Residents are calling for the police to intensify law enforcement mechanisms in the parish to address the crime problem.
