Clarendon man arrested after illegal gun find
A 25-year-old Clarendon man has been arrested and charged after he was found with an illegal firearm.
He is Troy Pusey of Cumberland district in the parish. Pusey was picked up along the Spalding main road, on the border of Clarendon and Manchester, about 3:30 yesterday afternoon.
The police say Pusey was among three people travelling in a Toyota Corolla motorcar that was signalled to stop.
The driver complied and while the police was conducting a search of the occupants, Pusey reportedly ran off. He was chased and accosted and searched, and a 9-millimetre Browning pistol was allegedly found on him.
Pusey was taken into custody and charged. He is scheduled to appear before the Mandeville Resident Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, April 15.
