The President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, has announced a US$70 million programme for youths in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Obama unveiled the Youth Leaders Initiative as he addressed young leaders at the University of the West Indies, Mona in St Andrew this afternoon.

He says the programme is expected to focus on education, training and entrepreneurship.
