Falconer to female leaders - Encourage women to be more active in national development

Minister with responsibility for Information, Senator Sandrea Falconer, is urging the country’s female leaders to encourage other women to play a more active role in national development.

Senator Falconer was speaking at the inaugural Phenomenal Women Breakfast, held yesterday, at the Terra Nova All Suite Hotel in Kingston.
The event was hosted by the International Women’s Forum, Jamaica.

Senator falconer noted that Jamaica is the leading country with females in management positions and praised the hard work and drive of women in the Jamaican society who have risen to these leadership positions.

She noted that there is a strong business and economic case to be made for empowering women.

The event was held under the theme ‘Leadership: Ensuring Transformation and Sustainable Development’.
