Fire Brigade gives all clear after threats on COK

A police vehicle transports a dog in a travel kennel along Slipe Pen Road, Kingston today where police responded to a threat call at COK today.

The Jamaica Fire Brigade says no threats were detected today at the Slipe Pen Road and Winchester Business Center offices of the COK Sodality Credit Union.

COK CEO Jacqueline Mighty says a call came in through the company’s call center indicating that there was a bomb in the building.

The bomb threat resulted in the forced evacuation of several businesses along Slipe Pen Road as well at the Winchester Business Centre

Traffic was also diverted from the areas as fire and police personnel carried out checks.

Following the all clear from the Jamaica Fire Brigade, businesses were able to reopen their doors.
