Police cordon off the front yard of the house where four males were shot and killed last night in Clarendon.

The police have suggested that the three boys and one man, who were shot dead in Monymusk, Clarendon last night, may have been killed after a robbery attempt.

According to the Corporate Communications Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Force about nine o’clock last night, the three boys were walking in the Monymusk Housing Scheme in Hayes, when they were pounced upon by two armed men.

The gunmen reportedly forced the boys onto the premises of the deceased adult.

According to police reports, the unknown assailants began making demands and when their demands were not met, they opened fire hitting all four persons.

The gunmen then escaped.

A relative said the boys were coming from the gym and had stopped outside the house, where they were killed, to access the Internet.

The Police High Command is also reassuring the public that the police will continue to maintain a high presence in major towns, business districts and communities in an effort to maintain law and order and ensure public safety.
