Key JEEP responsibilities turned over to new project director
A new project director has been named for the Jamaica Emergency Employment Programme (JEEP).
Carolyn Gardner assumed leadership of the programme on April 15 taking over from Lucille Brodber.
The works ministry says Gardner brings a wealth of experience to the position having worked as Chief Operations Officer of the Health Oasis where she is credited with making that organisation one of the most successful in the Health and Wellness industry.
She also worked as Assistant Director of Communications and Marketing at Global Aid Network in Dallas, Texas, USA where she successfully developed and implemented marketing initiatives for outreach programmes in more than 35 countries.
Commenting on her appointment, Minister of Transport, Works and Housing, Dr Omar Davies said Gardner’s experience and natural people skills will make her a good fit for the position.
He also thanked Brodber who he said steered the project through its infancy and left it in a position from where it can continue growing.
