May Pen Hospital refuses claim of negligence in construction worker's death
The May Pen Hospital is being blamed for negligence in the death of 32-year-old construction worker, Richard Lee, who was taken there yesterday.
However, the hospital is denying the claim and is insisting that it provided the best care it could to Lee.
Lee’s family has accused the hospital of failing to give him adequate care when he was rushed to the medical facility after being shot.
According to a family member, about 7 o’clock yesterday evening Lee was with friends at West Park Street when a man walked up and shot him.
The attacker reportedly fled and the injured man was taken to the May Pen Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
However, family members are refuting that claim.
According to them, hospital staff did not attend to him in time and left him to die on the floor of the Accident and Emergency Department.
