Why parents of the Pleasant Valley Primary want the board chairman removed
Parents of students at the Pleasant Valley Primary School in Clarendon this morning chained the gates to the school for a second straight day.
Initially, the parents were upset about plans to merge the canteens of the primary and infant departments of the school.
The move would see one cook, preparing meals for both departments.
However, they’re now upset about the way the Chairman of the school’s board, Reverend Naggie Sterling interacted with them during their yesterday.
They are calling for his removal.
Reverend Sterling has admitted to calling the group a mob.
However, he claims that the parents do not respect authority.
