Opposition Spokesman on Agriculture J.C. Hutchinson is urging the Government to quickly assess the extent of damage to agricultural produce in the Flamstead area of Mavis Bank in St Andrew as a result of the bush fire affecting the area.

Hutchinson says the farmers have suffered tremendous losses in the area.

He says the authorities should spare no effort in bringing the situation under control.

The Opposition Spokesman says while farmers are accustomed to set backs, the government should conduct an assessment of the damage speedily and provide assistance to those affected.
