Seven men in custody, 300 pounds of ganja seized
Seven men are now in custody following the seizure of 300 pounds of marijuana in Portland yesterday.
The men’s identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
It is reported that members of the Transnational Crime and Narcotics Division were conducting an operation at a beach in the parish when the men were seen standing beside two motor vehicles.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Corporate Communications Unit says both vehicles were searched and the ganja, which has an estimated street value of $1.5 million, was discovered.
