THE PASSPORT, Immigration and Citizenship Agency (PICA) will be offering a three-day passport service at the 6th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference from June 13 to 18 at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in St James.

"Because it is a short week, ... if someone comes on Monday, they can get back their passport on Wednesday, though our standard service is for seven days," director of customer service at PICA, Lesline Chisholm, said.

PICA will also have an immigration officer on location to facilitate processing of immigration document and offer information and citizenship services to patrons.

"We are having a full-house service and we are looking forward to having members of our diaspora there. We are really excited about it," she said.

The services will be offered as part of the Government at Your Service 'One Stop Shop' feature of the conference. This feature is a collaboration of public-sector agencies offering attendees fast-tracked government services.
