The state minister for tourism and entertainment, Damion Crawford, says the sector in Falmouth, Trelawny is being threatened because of the continued harassment of cruise passengers.

According to Crawford, many cruise passengers who dock at the Falmouth pier are fearful of being harassed and so they often opt to stay on board the vessels instead of experiencing the local tourism product .

He said the issue of harassment is driving visitors away and appealed to tourism interests to exercise greater discipline and cooperation.
