Jamaica and UK to sign anti-drug trafficking agreement
Jamaica and the United Kingdom are expected today to sign an agreement aimed at combating drug trafficking.
National Security Minister, Peter Bunting, is to sign the Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of Jamaica.
The event is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. today at the ministry’s headquarters in St Andrew.
For years, many Jamaicans have been nabbed attempting to smuggle drugs into the United Kingdom.
Many Jamaicans in UK prisons are believed to have participated in drug trafficking between the two nations.
