TOP Lubricants for Jamaica

The largest exporter of synthetic lubricants, TOP 1 Oil Products Company, USA., from the west coast of the United States, has entered the Jamaican and Caribbean markets. The products will be officially unveiled in Kingston on June 4.

Top 1 Oil products is officially approved by some of the most prestigious original equipment manufacturers, including Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Chrysler, Porsche and Volkswagen. The product has received numerous awards in the United States and abroad and are distributed in more than 60 countries worldwide.

Company president, Joseph Ryan says, "What is particularly exciting about entering the Jamaican market is that several Top 1 products will be produced under license in Jamaica by LSC Jamaica Limited. There will still be the direct importation of a number of finished products under the Top 1 brand; we have been around for decades and are really excited about the opportunities in Jamaica, the Caribbean and Latin America. "

Meanwhile Island Lubes Distributors (ILD) has been appointed by TOP 1 to be the master distributor for Jamaica . The company serves customers in the retail, commercial, industrial, mining and agricultural sectors and has as its directors Errol Wright and Oliver Chen and John Levy.

Top 1 was established by William Arthur Ryan, who during World War II started his career in the United States army, serving under the legendary General MacArthur. Assigned to the intelligence division, he participated in campaigns in Irian Jaya, the Philippines and Japan between 1943-1945. After retiring from military service, Ryan entered the automotive business establishing the company in 1979.
