Holness is bright and bold, can be PM again, says Dwight Nelson
Former Minister of National Security Dwight Nelson says Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Leader Andrew Holness is bright, bold and suitable to become Prime Minister again.
Nelson, who recently announced his retirement from politics, says Holness is not part of the generation of leaders associated with what he calls the historical failures of the past.
He says the JLP leader is in a position where he can create his own solutions for the country’s problems, but urged Holness not to ignore the people.
Nelson had responsibility for the National Security portfolio at the time of the May 2010 police-military operations to capture drug kingpin Christopher Dudus Coke in his Tivoli Gardens stronghold.
More than 70 civilians and a member of the Jamaica Defence Force were killed in the operations.
