Suspected lottery scammer arrested on Windward Road, Kingston

A man has been arrested on suspicion of breaches of the Law Reform (Fraudulent Transactions) (Special Provisions) Act.

He was arrested by Police personnel from the Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Branch (C-TOC) during an operation on Windward Road in Kingston yesterday.

Reports are that about 11:15 yesterday morning, a premises was searched and several sheets of paper containing identity information of other persons were found.

The man is expected to be charged with possession of identity information and using premises to possess identity information after being interviewed in the presence of his attorney.

C-TOC is also working with its international partners to ascertain victims overseas in an effort to have additional charges laid against him.
