Fisherman's body found off St Thomas shore
The search for a 43-year-old fisherman whose boat was found adrift in the waters offshore the Prospect Fishing Village in St Thomas last Friday has ended.
According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force's Corporate Communications Unit, Delroy Facey’s decomposing body was spotted about seven Sunday morning by fishermen in the area.
The Police were contacted and the body was brought ashore with the assistance of Marine Police.
Facey had reportedly gone fishing in a 12-foot paddle boat about six Friday morning.
His empty boat was spotted by his colleagues about 4:30 that afternoon.
The Police were alerted and a search was launched.
The Port Morant Police, who are investigating, say it is suspected that Facey drowned.
