Trafalgar Travel's Mammoth Celebration

Thursday, June 4, was special for the Trafalgar Travel family. It was their 20th anniversary, and the management and staff celebrated with the mother of all-day parties. The entire Garelli Avenue and neighbouring area was transformed into a travel expo with booths for travel industry players, a car dealership and banks to showcase their offerings.

The theme spoke volumes about loyalty to a company that consistently delivers quality service. These sentiments were echoed by guest speaker Hugh Small who, 20 years ago, had performed the same role. He congratulated Conrad Graham and the team for staying the course.

"I congratulate you for staying the course, as I have seen you rise to heights in hard times that made it difficult for you to operate. But you have always gone above and beyond expectations for all of us," Small said as he chronicled many instances when the travel experts had satisfied his and his family's needs.

Other highlights of the day were the presentation of special awards to clients and employees who had remained loyal over the years, as well as the launch of Incentia, Trafalgar Online, Sports Travel, and Mobile App.

Incentia will automate and simplify the travel rewards redemption process for companies with existing loyalty programmes.

Trafalgar Online (TO) is a travel-booking and resource website which users can use to book air travel virtually anywhere in the world and the 'go to' site for travel happenings.

Sports Travel will facilitate all the travel-related arrangements for competitors, spectators, managers, support staff, commentators and others who are going to the Olympics, World Championships, World Cup Football, Penn Relays, etc.

Mobile App is still being worked on, but when complete, it will enable clients and agents to connect in real time and give updates on specials, discounts, weather, travel tips, and more.

Many of those who attended the expo won tickets to overseas destinations, gift baskets, consumed lots of food and drink, plus enjoyed a musical feast of hit after hit by singer-songwriter extraordinaire Tarrus Riley.
