Beats Pill XL wireless speakers recalled
The Consumer Affairs Commission has joined the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to issue a recall on Beats Pill XL wireless speakers.
The recall was announced today in conjunction with Health Canada.
According to a statement, the speakers, which are sold by Apple, pose a fire hazard to consumers due to overheating.
The Consumer Affairs Commission says persons should stop using the product and contact Apple for reimbursement as well as to cover postage costs for returning the item.
The CPSC advised Apple to contact all pertinent government agencies in Mexico, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Honduras, Panama, Peru and Uruguay.
The Consumer Affairs Commission says while Jamaica is not listed, it is aware that Jamaicans travel and shop abroad.
And the commission says persons should take the necessary precautions.
