Director General of the Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) Colin Bullock says greater collaboration among all stakeholders is critical to ensuring that the country continues to make progress towards achieving key targets in the Vision 2030 plan. Bullock says the private sector, civil society groups, international partners and other interest groups must continue to participate in the planning process, particularly in developing a consensus on the most important issues facing the country in the short to medium term. He was speaking at a Vision 2030 country assessment workshop held at the University of the West Indies in Kingston last week. The Vision 2030 Plan is Jamaica’s road map to achieving developed country status by the year 2030. According to the latest summary of the progress made since 2009, 20 per cent of the targets for 2015 have already been met.
