Reputed gang leader 'Rooksie' to stand trial today
The reputed leader of the Rose Town-based Discipline Gang, Uriel 'Rooksie' James, is to stand trial today for one of the three murder cases with which he's charged.
James, who is more popularly known as Rooksie, scheduled to attend the Home Circuit Court today on all three cases.
However, a decision is expected to be made as to which one will start.
James is charged for the 2011 murder of James Anderson.
He is also charged with the 2004 murder of Sean James as well as the death of a man in 1999.
James was arrested in March 2013 after the police held him with what they said was a list of witnesses in several criminal cases against him.
At the time of his arrest, he was on bail on charges of murder and shooting with intent.
