Lawyer Patrick Bailey returns to court today
Attorney Patrick Bailey is to return to court today on fraud charges for a plea and case management hearing.
At his last appearance before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court last month, prosecutors indicated that the case file was incomplete as there is an outstanding statement.
The lawyer is charged with conspiracy to defraud and forgery in relation to a land deal in 1996.
The Crown alleges that Bailey was retained by the complainant to sell a property valued at $25 million.
It is further alleged that the property was transferred to another person without the owner's knowledge or consent.
Bailey is among several prominent lawyers currently facing fraud related charges.
