Phillip Paulwell attends 19th St Petersburg International Economic Forum in Moscow.

Science, Technology, Energy and Mining, Minister Phillip Paulwell is currently in Moscow, Russia for the 19th St Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The annual forum gathers the world’s leading decision makers to identify and deliberate on the key challenges facing emerging markets and growth economies and engage them in finding solutions.

The meeting runs from June 18-20.

Paulwell says it is an excellent opportunity of which Jamaica must take advantage.

He says Jamaica has had very fruitful meetings with representatives from Russia’s Ministry of Energy especially focusing on the future of the UC Rusal in Jamaica.

Just over a year ago,  Paulwell announced the sale of Government's seven per cent share in West Indies Alumina Company Limited (Windalco) to the UC Rusal.
