Jury deliberating fate of businessman in human trafficking trial
A seven-member jury is now deliberating on the fate of businessman, Rajesh Gurunani who is on trial for human trafficking.
The jury retired about 40 minutes ago after the presiding judge, Courtney Daye completed his summation and gave his instructions.
The case is taking place in the Home Circuit Court in downtown Kingston.
Gurunani is charged with trafficking in persons, facilitating trafficking in persons and withholding travel documents between August 2009 and March 2011.
The businessman has denied the allegations in an unsworn statement.
