PHOTOS: Police release names of escaped prisoners

The police have released the names of the eight prisoners who escaped from the Savanna-la-Mar lock-up last night.

They are:

1 - Twenty-one-year-old Romaine Esson, otherwise called ‘Skenko’, of Dalling Street, Westmoreland. He was charged for murder and shooting with intent.

2 - Twenty-three-year-old Odane Brown, otherwise called ‘Fee Fee’, of West End, Negril in Westmoreland. Charged with shooting with intent and robbery with aggravation.

3 - Twenty-six-year-old Alton Maxwell of Naggo Head, St Catherine. Charged with of murder, illegal possession of firearm and escaping police custody.

4 - Twenty-six-year-old Junior James, otherwise called ‘Bryan’, of Burnt Savannah district, Westmoreland. Charged with murder.

5 - Twenty-year-old Ricardo Kerr, otherwise called ‘Jawbone’, of Waterworks, Westmoreland. Charged for robbery with aggravation and shooting with intent.

6 - Thirty-three-year-old Steve Vassell, otherwise called ‘Strength’, of Shortwood Road, Kingston 8. Charged with murder.

7 - Eighteen-year-old Bushay Grayson, otherwise called ‘Coolie Man’, of Little London, Westmoreland. Facing robbery charges.

8 - Twenty-seven-year-old Carlington Godfrey, otherwise called ‘Tommy’, of Top Lincoln, Grange Hill, Westmoreland. Charged with Murder, Shooting with Intent and Illegal Possession of Firearm.

It is reported that about 12:45 a.m., during a routine check of the facilities it was discovered that the men had escaped through a hole they made in the roof of a cell.

The public is being advised that these men are considered dangerous and the Police should be contacted immediately if anyone knows of their whereabouts.

Additionally, citizens are being reminded that it is a criminal offence to harbour fugitives.
