Newly-renovated Ocho Rios hotel could provide 1,200 jobs
The newly-renovated Moon Palace Jamaica Grande Resort and Spa in Ocho Rios, St Ann, could employ as much as 1,200 persons when it becomes fully operational.
That’s the word from the parent company for the hotel, Playa Resorts Management.
The 705-room hotel was refurbished at a cost of US$200 million is slated for a soft opening next month.
Vice-President of Playa Resorts Management Gibran Chapur says the resort is very close to being completed and that bookings are already being taken.
The former Sunset Jamaica Grande was acquired by the Mexico-based Moon Palace Resort September last year.
