Stop sending corporals, constables to planning meetings - High Command to divisions

The Police High Command says operations targeting gangsters are being compromised because some divisions are sending low ranking personnel who cannot make certain decisions to planning meetings.

According to the latest Force Orders, the delinquent divisions, are sending corporals and constables to the meetings.

However, it says while those personnel may be knowledgeable about the matters being discussed, they are not able to make critical decisions which are sometimes required.

The High Command says the problem has caused a setback in operations under the Operation Resilience campaign that targets gangsters.

In addition, it says the action sometimes results in critical intelligence being lost and this may compromise the successful planning and execution of operations.

It says divisions seeking operational support from the Mobile Reserve will now be required to send senior personnel including the Operations Officer or Divisional Intelligence Manager to the meetings.

The Mobile Reserve hosts a meeting to plan and review operations weekly.

And divisions which require support are expected to send representatives to the meeting.
