Mediation for Yallahs High students after attack on schoolboy
The four female students involved in the video-recorded attack on a male student of the Yallahs High School are to undergo mediation.
This was agreed at a meeting earlier today between school officials and the parents of the students involved.
The teen boy had to seek medical attention after the attack.
Patrice Sinclair, the stepmother of the 13-year-old boy, says she is also satisfied that social intervention had been agreed for the girls.
Acting Principal at the Yallahs High School Patricia Bailey also confirmed that the students involved will be getting help.
It is reported that the attack started after the boy one of the girls pulled the boy while he tried to leave a classroom.
The impact caused the boy drink to spill onto her uniform.
The boy reportedly went to sit when two girls approached him with one using her uniform to wipe his face.
He allegedly pushed her away and that is when he was set upon by the four girls and beaten.
The boy who has not been back to school since the incident has missed some of his end of year exams and says he does not want to go back to school.
