Government to resume net billing in two to three weeks
The Government is expected to resume its net billing arrangement in another two to three weeks.
Energy minister Phillip Paulwell is encouraging more persons to get on board and make this worthwhile investment.
The net billing system, which was introduced in 2012, allows persons who own renewable energy generators to generate electricity for personal use, and sell excess energy to the national grid.
This forms part of measures that the Government is undertaking towards ‘cleaner energy strategies,’ which will eventually reduce the island’s energy bill.
Paulwell says he has so far issued more than 300 licences to enable Jamaicans to sell the excess energy they generate to the grid.
