Enrichment Centre Opens

A Digicel Foundation Enrichment Centre was officially opened on Friday, June 26, after being fully equipped with literacy and numeracy tools at the Horizon Park Primary School. Sharing in the occasion are (from left) Jean Lowrie-Chin, chairman of the Digicel Foundation; Michael Uylett, chairman of the school board; Dr Claudia Gordon, director of Region 6, Ministry of Education; Phillip O’Keffe, intern with Digicel Foundation; Evadne Cowell, training specialist, Digicel Foundation; and Shernette Nicholas, Enrichment Centre manager. A partnership between the Digicel Foundation and the United States Agency for International Development has led to the official opening of an enrichment centre at the Horizon Park Primary School. Foundation Chair Jean Lowrie-Chin was on hand to cut the ribbon to the centre.
