Top ranking Pentecostal Bishop heads to Jamaica

The Presiding prelate of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (PAW), Bishop Charles H. Ellis III, will be arriving on the island tomorrow to make his inaugural visit to the annual convention from July 6 to 8 at its headquarters at 38 Jobs Lane, Spanish Town, St Catherine.

10th elected person

In July 2010, the 1.3 million membership of the PAW of the world elected Ellis to the office of presiding bishop, making him the 10th elected person to the highest position in the world's oldest Apostolic organisation.

Bishop Ellis presides over the Diocese of South Carolina in which he oversees 45 churches.

He will be ministering at the annual convention on Wednesday, July 8, starting at 7 p.m. All are invited.
