Truck driver in Police hit-and-run held
The driver of the truck that allegedly killed a policeman in a hit and run accident last week in Clarendon has been held by the Police.
The driver was held at premises in Bodles, St Catherine on Tuesday following intelligence gathered by the May Pen police who launched an investigation shortly after the incident.
Constable Roje Bennett, who was attached to the operational support team for the St Catherine North Division, died from injuries he received when his vehicle collided with a truck along a section of the Bustamante Highway in Clarendon.
Police sources say the truck was heading towards Old Harbour and did not stop.
